A grey morning, slightly warmer than yesterday.
The mundane has been calling to me, by telephone & door-knocking. The only time open to me for creative work is before noon. Then, those who rely upon my energy supply (notably, attention), will demand their mouthful (if they have been thwarted & frustrated in the hours before this). I am reminded of a famous author who was asked, by another author, how they had managed to write (their recent, outstanding work): by going up a mountain, alone. This, I took literally. If I declare, to all those who customarily disturb me, please do not for any reason whatsoever make any form of contact with me before noon, I know that this in & of itself will cause them to make immediate contact (cf this diary for November 19th. 2005 and June 15th 1997
So, what to do? Once upon a time, I went to Nashville on a regular basis (which worked for about 2 days). Well, here we are.
